Our Academy / Who We Support

Every young person deserves an education that enables them to thrive. At Victory Park Academy, we provide specialist support for pupils who need a different approach to achieve success.

Who We Support

Victory Park Academy supports children and young people aged 5–16 who require an alternative approach to education in order to achieve success.

Our pupils come to us with a wide range of experiences, strengths and needs. Many have faced barriers to learning that have affected their engagement, attendance, wellbeing or progress within a mainstream setting. We provide a supportive environment where pupils can rebuild confidence, develop positive relationships and re-engage with education.

We work with pupils who may:

  • Be at risk of exclusion or have experienced permanent exclusion.
  • Require a personalised educational pathway to meet their individual needs.
  • Need additional support with social, emotional or mental health challenges.
  • Have experienced difficulties accessing learning in a mainstream environment.
  • Benefit from smaller class sizes and more targeted support.
  • Require short-term intervention before returning to a mainstream school.
  • Need a longer-term specialist placement to support their educational journey.

Every pupil is unique, and we recognise that no two situations are the same. Our experienced staff work closely with families, schools, local authorities and external agencies to understand each young person’s circumstances and develop a tailored programme of support.

Through our therapeutic and relationship-based approach, we help pupils develop the confidence, resilience and skills needed to make positive progress academically, socially and emotionally.

At Victory Park Academy, we focus on what young people can achieve, not the challenges they have faced. Our aim is to provide every pupil with the opportunity to succeed, both in education and beyond.
