Victory Park are excited to start our journey to achieve the Artsmark. Artsmark is an award that supports and encourages schools to embed the arts, culture and creativity across the whole curriculum.
Our intent is to:
- Broaden the experiences of our students within the Arts.
- For all students to access, engage and experience a wide range of Arts within the academy and within the wider community.
- For all students to have the opportunity to participate and produce their own pieces of art.
- For all students to have the opportunity to share and celebrate their pieces of art.
- For all students to use different forms and types of art to develop their expressive, critical and evaluation skills.
- For multiple expressions of Art to be embedded in the curriculum.
The aim through different projects and curriculum opportunities is to support:
All students will have multiple opportunities to learn about and explore different types of Art, expanding their knowledge and understanding of the Arts, whilst experimenting with different types or media.
Broaden students cultural understanding and emotional wellbeing.
Encourages students’ engagement with the wider community.
Create platforms and opportunities for students to develop and celebrate their expressive, critical and evaluation skills.
